HELP! .. wireless router, new laptop, roadrunner? - connecting laptop to roadrunner
I have a Dell desktop computer that is connected with a USB modem through Road Runner, I bought a Dell laptop that has not already done so, I want wirelessly, allowing you to use in different parts, and these so I bought me a Linksys Wireless G. .. I need something else? exactly how it works .. simply download the software on the laptop or something? ... What do the wireless cards do exactly? .. I am a nurse in a large hospital, with .. Wireless is as that which is used as the card available? .. someone can explain in words I understand .. I am a little knowledge about computers. (I had to use a wireless router with a friend when I lived in an apartment if it is useful)

It is required that you connect the router to your Dell computer. Install the software supplied with the router and get up first. The Dell laptop computer should automatically recognize your network.
If you use the router, ask if you want to put encryption on it. Ie WEP, WPA, WPA2, PSK, and so on. If yes, write the key to what you write on your laptop can, if they get in a position to connect to.
